This Cleaner is highly recommended by Dr. Edward R. Close for use in addressing visible mold. Use the cleaner undiluted to spray on visible mold.
I had green mold growing on the backside of my house on the siding. So got out my trusty spray bottle of Thieves Cleaner and went to work. I sprayed the siding down then brushed and rinsed. It has been 1 year and 6 months since I have cleaned the siding. No mold has returned.

When I clean my church, I use Thieves on all surfaces in the classrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. People say they can 'smell the clean.' It's great for cleaning sticky tables and I know it won't endanger the kids.

We recently moved from California to Utah into a home that was built in the 1880's. It wasn't until I was deep cleaning that I realized there were some serious mold issues!! I got some samples, had them tested and there were several strains of molds, common and not-so common. We'd moved to an area that had no other homes available for rent and I was panicked, since I'm extremely sensitive to mold, having been 'poisoned' by black mold about 10 years ago. There was nowhere else to go while our home is being built. I immediately got our my Thieves Cleaner, Thieves Oil, Diffuser, rubber gloves and face mask! I sprayed the Thieves Cleaner straight onto the affected areas and just left it for several hours. I began diffusing Thieves Oil - and did so for the next 48 hours. In the basement, where there was alot of mildew and mold, I sprayed a mixture of Thieves Oil, Thieves Cleaner and grain alcohol directly onto the brick walls. Then I left the house to rest. The next day when I came back, the black mold in the cupboards that had been so unsightly had almost disappeared. I sprayed the affected areas again, soaking liberally, and wiped them down after a few minutes. The mold is gone! In the basement, the same thing had happened. I re-sprayed with my mixture and it is also GONE! I coaxed the carpet cleaner to use my Thieves Cleaner instead of his citrus stuff (which I have an allergy to!). He reluctantly did so and was thrilled and amazed at how clean the carpets were. I was so happy, because they were disinfected, smalled great and are so soft now. I continue to diffuse Thieves, Purification and Eucalytpus a couple of times a week. The mold issues are gone. I can breathe without any problems. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!

“Because of the unusual wet fall, winter, and spring we have had and the leaking shower head in our bathroom, we got a lot of black mold in our shower. All of the caulking was totally black. Any cracks in the tile grout were black. The fiberglass bottom of the shower had black growth also. A friend of mine just bought an older home. She told me how she totally cleaned the moldy shower in the house she just bought. She removed the caulking with black mold on it. She scrubbed the entire shower, then sprayed chlorine bleach all over the shower, She sprayed an extra amount where the old caulking was to make sure the mold was completely gone. She let it dry a day, then re-caulked it with new silicone caulking. She was so excited that her shower looked new again. When she came to help me do the same with my shower, She said the only thing that will completely get rid of the black mold is chlorine bleach. She knew I didn't want to use anything that would harm my body by breathing it in or leaving a residue in the shower. We first removed all the caulking with a flat head screwdriver, then we tackled the cleaning job. I made up a strong solution of Theives Cleaner. I used 3 tablespoons of Theives Cleaner per one 32 ounce sprayer bottle of filtered water. We cleaned the entire shower with the cleaner. She was amazed that the cleaner cleaned so well. Were able to get stubborn soap scum off the tiles by spraying it with Theives Cleaner, then scrubbing it with a #220 waterproof sandpaper. In the hard to get crack areas we used a stiff scrub brush and an old toothbrush. After we totally cleaned the shower and washed it down, we sprayed all the areas to be caulked with Theives Cleaner. We let the shower dry over night, then caulked it with new silicone caulking. The shower looks great! My friend was absolutely amazed that we did not need to use chlorine bleach. She said, 'that Thieves Cleaner is amazing. It works better than 409, Windex, and chlorine bleach. I am going to get some.' It is exciting to know I can clean anything with Theives Cleaner and I don't have to jeopardize my health because of it. Thank you YOUNG LIVING.

Last night my son and his girlfriend and I created beautiful Christmas wreaths with pine boughs harvested from our woods. When we finished we had sticky pine pitch all over our hands. Thieves Cleaner straight from the bottle took it totally off in two seconds.

I moved into a house that had wooden cabinets in the kitchen; the handle areas on each were filled with grime and grease. I tried everything to clean them; everything, that is, until I used one capful of Thieves household cleaner with 32 ounces of water – and presto. I now have clean cabinets!

Earlier this summer I saw that my black raspberries were ripe. I thought I could pick a small handful and NOT get the stains on my white shirt! WRONG! It was a good one too, so I went to the washing machine, sprayed on some diluted Thieves Household Cleaner and to my astonishment, the berry stains 'melted'. I scrubbed them a bit but they were still there, just not as bad. 'Oh, Well,' I thought. 'At least some of it came out.' I sprayed again and then put a little of the liquid laundry soap on the shirt and threw it in with other clothes. To my astonishment, the BERRY STAINS were completely GONE after the wash cycle completed. This has NEVER happened to me with any kind of food stain, no matter what I used, so I am SOLD on Thieves Household Cleaner. I also decided to try using it on my stanless steel appliances. It WORKS and just as well as the expensive non-toxic oil I had purchased. If the appliance is heavily stained, you do have to use a microfibre cloth or mitt, but the appliance shines up nicely and NO STREAKING---but I think you gotta use the mitt!!! When I first read about Thieves Household Cleaner, I thought that it was all hype. Nothing could be this versatile. Well, I think I was WRONG. Now I'm challenging myself to think of other uses. For example, today we cleaned out the chicken house. I sprayed the cleaner right on the floor. It dissolved the 'mess' and I just swept it out! The chickens went right back in as soon as we put down the pine shavings. I also sprayed it on the walls because I read on your website that it keeps FLIES at bay!! I LOVE THIS STUFF.

I bought some spray paint to spruce up a white plastic patio chair. The directions on the spray can said to 'wipe with an ammonia based cleaner,' and I unthinkingly obeyed. The chair was grungy with years of dust, grime, and pet grunge. The ammonia wasn't working and I was gasping from the fumes. I suddenly came to my senses and pulled out my bottle of Thieves all purpose cleaner. I rubbed it undiluted on the stubborn areas with my fingers and waited a few minutes. I also added some straight Thieves oil, then with just the scratchy side of a kitchen sponge, the stuck on grime started coming off. Now I won't say I didn't have to use a little elbow grease, but it did work better than the commercial cleaner and did not fill my home with toxic fumes!

I put Thieves Cleaner in a large spray bottle with water in each bathroom and clean the bathrooms with this only. This saves on chemicals and many cleaning products under the sink, much cleaner and safer to use. I also use it as laundry soap and to clean stainless steel, windows, ovens, much more. I love not using the chemicals in my home.

My husband works at a oil and lube company and his work clothes get very dirty and greasy. I spray them with Thieves cleaner before laundering, rub it in, and launder - no grease spots! I've also used Thieves on old stains (didn't even know what they were), and it removed all the stains.

My son is working as a grounds keeper at a golf course this summer and came home with pine tree sap on his hands and all over his pants and shirt. He put a little Thieves Cleaner on his hands, rubbed them together and rinsed and was amazed how the sap just washed away! I dapped it on his cloths before washing and the clothes came out clean! More kudos for Thieves Cleaner!
- Mary Jo Smithula
My husband got caulking all over his washable pants. I tried plain water but the caulk repelled the water. I then grabbed the Thieves Cleaner and poured it directly on the affected areas. With a little rubbing I found that the Thieves Cleaner melted the caulk away. After washing the pants they came out looking like new.

When I bought my house, the original dishwasher would always make my kitchen smell nasty while I ran it. Musty, mildew like smell. The smell would start as soon as the washing cycle did and last for several hours after it finished.

I replaced the appliance because it died the first year I lived here. I thought the smells would leave with the dead dish washer. Nope, they continued right on with a brand new one in it's place. YUCK!

Then I got Thieves Cleaner and read on one of these blogs about someone else using it in the dish washer. I decided to give it a try. I placed about a cap full in a load and ran it. No smell during the cycle. Hardly any smell there after. I ran the next cycle without the Thieves cleaner- and the smell seemed to come back but not as bad as before but I could still pick up the smell.

So now each time I run the appliance I am using a bit of Thieves cleaner in the cycle. I think perhaps there is a build up of sludge or something in the drainage system that the Thieves cleaner is slowly stripping out. I love that the cleaner makes the smell disappear. I have a couple people interested in the product now because I told them how pleased I was with this one method of use. I also use it in a spray bottle with water to wash down my kitchen counters. Smells so nice when you spray it on a dish rag.

Recently I was doing some art work and ended up with some white acrylic paint on my kitchen table. I sprayed Thieves Household cleaner on the paint and it came off immediately.

I sold a bottle of Thieves Household cleaner to my aunt. She wrote back: 'You will be interested: I had a white blouse that had light brown stains on the front, like coffee had been spilled on it, although I don't remember that. I washed it and it didn't come clear, a while back, so I just kept it in the hamper. Today I got it out and put the Thieves Household cleaner on it full strength, which really turned it yellow. When I took it from the dryer, it had no stains. I'm impressed!'

We just love all the Thieves oil and oil-enhanced products. For colds and flu, go for Thieves. Sore throat? A drop of thieves in water, gargle and swallow. Or try Thieves spray - one spray does the trick. Thieves lozenges are great, too, especially for the little ones. Thieves cleaner is 'my' cleaner for everything, from cabinets and high chairs, to all bathroom fixtures, doorknobs and dishes. Thieves toothpaste is a must, and safe for the whole family.

My daughter decided one day to 'color', using a Sharpie permanent marker. Of course, not all the marks stayed on the page, they landed on her desk. I used Thieves Cleaner. I started by applying it straight, rubbing it until stops coming up. If you need to make it more abrasive, add a scoop of kosher salt. I then let it sit in more cleaner. Every 15 minutes I would come back and start rubbing again until it stopped coming up. I continued doing this until it eventually came up and completely disappeared! Amazing !!

After bringing my car in for an oil change over the summer, there was some grease the mechanic left on the steering wheel which ended up on my off white shorts. I rubbed lemon oil and then sprayed it with the Thieves Household Cleaner and water combo. Most of the grease was gone before putting into the wash. After the wash, it was completely GONE. I used the same thing on a pair of pants that had an oil stain from salad dressing all gone too!

I have two white blouses that I like very much. However, I was just about to throw them out. One had what looked like a spot of black tar on a sleeve, and the other had two small black spots in the front. They had been scrubbed, washed and dried in the hot dryer many times, and the spots seemed to be permanent.

However, just before I discarded them, I tried using the Thieves Household Cleaner as a test - to see if it would perhaps make a difference - but I wasn't too hopeful.

Imagine my surprise when I found that, with a little Thieves Household Cleaner, and a little elbow grease, all three spots totally disappeared. Not only that, but the blouses appear refreshed and new looking. I am truly surprised and delighted!

My business partner and I work with beeswax which is very difficult to remove. It got splashed on his glasses so he put a drop or two of lemon oil on the glass lens, rubbed it a little... the beeswax came right off. Some had gotten on his socks so I sprayed Thieves Cleaner on, rubbed them and put them in the laundry, the beeswax came out. The Young Living products are amazing!

As a new mom I love receiving recycled baby toys. I use the Thieves cleaning product, diluted in a spray bottle to clean & sanitize any 'new-used' toys that my baby gets. It gives me the peace of mind that the toy is bacteria free & chemical free. Instead of using the heavy laden anti-bacteria cleansers recommended for households. I love my Thieves cleaner, every family household should have a bottle!!
- Katie Kastrup
When my son left home, I washed up his bedding and other bedroom stuff. It had that funky 'not washed soon enough' smell so I added some Thieves cleaner to the laundry. We have always used unscented detergent so we have not perfume smell to cover up odors. Since these items were not needed right away, I forgot about them completely for 2 days. This was hot summertime. When I did remember, I was afraid to open the washer for fear of the smell. To my surprise, after 2 days there was only a faint 'Thieves' smell. I now use either Thieves cleaner or Thieves oil put directly into my liquid laundry soap every load.

Our granddaughters spilled and tried to clean up bright blue fingernail polish on my daughters brand new beige carpeting. It left a big dark spot about 4' x 7' in the middle of the room. My daughter who used to have a carpet cleaning business said that fingernail polish spots never come out of carpet. You have to buy new carpeting. But we applied Thieves Household Cleaner anyway and kept blotting the spot until it was completely gone. You can't even tell where it was any more. My daughters couldn't believe their eyes.

I went online and ordered the Thieves household cleaner. To my surprise, it was so highly concentrated, I only needed half a cap mixed with water in a spray bottle to clean my entire house. I got a rust stain, and a mystery stain out of my carpet in 5 minutes. The mystery stain had been there 3 months, and I had tried everything else on it, chemical cleaners, boiling water, baking soda, vinegar, ect...The Thieves cleaner took it right out. Now I put a drop in my dishwasher, I clean the floors with it, I soak my kitchen sponges in it, I clean glass, mirrors, the tub and toilet, litter boxes, everything! I got rid of all my old chemical cleaners and I couldn't be happier!

Ants are a problem in Florida and even with an outdoor treatment program, they seem to find their way in doors once in awhile. I have been using the Thieves Cleaner mixed with some water in a spray bottle. I simply spray the vulnerable areas and I rarely see an ant any more. This works much better than other oils I have tried.

For over a year now I have been using Thieves Cleaner as my laundry soap. I use one capful(1 tsp.) per load along with 1/2 cup of Borax which boosts the cleaning power a litle more. When I need to work out stains, I use it full strength spraying it from a 1 oz. bottle. Rub in the soap and let it sit before you put the clothes in the washer. Often before I am done rubbing, the stain is completely gone. Even the pollen from tiger lily stamens comes out with this prcedure. For whites I add a little more Cleaner to the washer and let them soak, sometimes overnight. I am passionate about keeping the chemicals out of our ground water and lakes here in the north woods where we all live close to water. Using this product that comes from the Earth Mother and which works so beautifully to care for my family makes my heart sing with joy. We CAN live doing no harm. We CAN BE peace.

My son's wife is expecting their first baby and I thought it would be fun to get out our children's baby blankets. I did, and to my dismay, they were full of stains. I decided to try the Thieves Household Cleaner on the stains so I put it on full strength on each stain and let it set for about 2 hours. The stains immediately began to get lighter. Then I put the blankets in the washing machine with Tide and Oxiclean and let them soak all day and all the stains came out and the colors were restored to their original brilliance. This is truely amazing as the blankets are 27-32 years old. Since this worked I used the Thieves cleaner full strength on the baby clothes that were stained and the same thing happened. I couldn't believe it. Furthermore, it whitened their baby shoes without having to use shoe polish.

Before moving from a home with very hard well water, I cleaned the small table fountains that I have and packed them carefully. When I unpacked my favorite fountain, filled it with water and plugged it in, the pump didn't even hum. What a disappointment! It's a simple little pump and when I looked very carefully I could see build-up inside it and nothing I tried was small enough to reach it. Apparently it was sediment from the well water that had dried solid while it was packed.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained, so I poured Thieves Household cleaner full strength into all of the openings and let it sit, probably for several hours as I was busy doing other things. Later that evening I turned the switch and whah-lah! the little pump is running fine. Leaving the Thieves cleaner circulate through the fountain made all of the parts sparkle and it smells very nice in my home office where the fountain adds its serenity. Thieves Household Cleaner turned a disappointment into a joy; the sound of the water is pleasing to my senses and I enjoy seeing the water cascading freely.

Living with three cats means there are pee accidents from time to time. One of my cats also likes to mark territory in the house. If you have cats you know what that can smell like. I've used commercial products claiming to remove the smell, but none has worked as well as Thieves Household Cleaner! I'm so relieved to have found something that removes the odor!

I have a beautiful home, but shortly after we moved into our home, the refrigerator stopped working. We had a repairman out to look at it, but it did not do any good. We had to replace the one in the house with another. The old fridge had to come out, but the only way to get it out was accross our living room carpet! The old one was taken out and a newer one put in, then we noticed that the old fridge had left a ugly trail accross our carpet! I tried everything to get it out to no avail. The stains seemed to be getting worst. This last weekend I deciding to try the Thieves cleaner with water in a sprayer bottle, I got down on the floor and sprayed a small spot and then used a small scrub brush and a clean towel to wipe it up with, WOW! The towel was black and the carpet looks great! I cleaned all the spots then let them dry and then vaccumed. I will need to go over it, but I love it, and the smell is wonderful, too!
