Mold in the body is, unfortunately, quite common, and is known to
be associated with or to be the cause of skin, nail, eye, ear and respiratory
infections that can become chronic. [For more information on diseases linked to
mold exposure, see the Mold Symptoms page at www.MoldRx4u.com.] Chronic infection
and disease resulting from prolonged exposure to irritants that produce
inflammation in the body and its systems can lead to serious break downs in the
body's defenses resulting in chronic inflammatory conditions, autoimmune system
compromise, and even death.
If you have ever seen the science programs on PBS or the Discovery
channels about fungus, fungi and mold, then you have seen pictures of insects,
ants and animals who are beset by fungal infections, become ill, and die. Then
their body is consumed with mold. They become mold food. Eventually, you see
mushrooms growing out of the bodies of those dead insects, ants and small
animals.
That is what mold does. It feeds, reproduces and breaks down both
living and inert materials and returns them to compost so they can be recycled
and reused by the environment. Mold also kills - that is, it infests an
organism and feeds on it, then proliferates (reproduces) and then breaks that
organism down into base materials (compost).
Worse, people who contacted us report
that hospital staff have said to them that there is nothing to support
statements that mold exposure causes any illness or disease. The people who
contact us report that they were told by doctors and nurses that there is no
pathology associated with exposure to mold.
Fear is given to us to help us avoid
things that are potentially harmful and dangerous to us. So, fear of an
organism that can make you ill or even kill you is not unwarranted.
The questions these officials don't answer are:
- How do we protect our
families, our pets, and our own body against this ubiquitous invader that
can kill us, and do so without fear of it coming back?
- How do we eliminate the fear,
if we cannot eliminate the mold?
- How can we protect ourselves
in a way that promotes health and wellness?
Certainly using bleach and other harmful chemicals is not an
acceptable answer to the problem of mold exposure. See the Six Reasons to
Avoid Standard Mold Cleanup Options on our website www.MoldRx4u.com for
more about the problems with bleach and chemicals [Six Reasons to Avoid]. So, what can we do?
Over the years, since we started researching the use of essential
oils for addressing mold in buildings, we have worked with a number of people
who suffered from fungal and mold infestations, and chronic health problems
that we have reason to believe may have resulted from mold exposure. There is a
unique function of plants that Dr. Ed Close explained in our book, Nature's
Mold Rx, the Non-Toxic Solution to Toxic Mold, that makes them highly
suited to address mold in buildings and in the body. Plants have a built-in
defense against mold that makes it possible for them to survive the attacks of
mold. And plants are never made up of exactly the same chemical components from
one year to the next, so mold, viruses and bacteria cannot adapt and become
immune to the plants' defenses. This is the only reason we have such a wide
variety of plants on Earth today. If plants were not able to stave off the
constant attacks of mold, they would die and become food for mold, compost, not
food for people.
Essential oils produced by and from plants contain a rich mixture
of naturally occurring organic compounds that, according to research the world
over, offer many benefits to health and wellness. They have been used for
centuries and they continue to be effective today. Indeed, scientific research
abounds with evidence that essential offer a strong defense against viruses,
bacteria, pain, inflammation, disease and fungi. Yet, as one woman recently
said, they remain: The best kept secret
of health and wellness.
Essential oils and products enhanced with essential oils are, we
believe, the answer to the problems of mold in buildings, and in our bodies.
People contact us and ask:
- What can I do about mold in
my body?
- What can I do about mold in
my blood?
- What can I do about this or
that type of fungal infection?
Based on clients reports back to us, the more they learn, and the
more they pay attention to their own body and make necessary changes based on
what is working for them, the better they feel.
Be sure to see next month's issue for Part Two of this article and learn what you can do to prevent and eliminate mold in the body.

Will
replacing the pump on Young Living's cold-air diffuser work for diffusing oil
for mold remediation? or do I have to buy a whole new diffuser? The diffuser I
purchased from YLEO is only a 3 watt unit and your material suggests a 6 watt
unit. Please advise.
Answer:
My daughter plays high school volleyball, and after her last game
she left her sneakers, knee pads, and foot brace in her gym bag, zipped it
closed, and let it sit for two months. You can image the odor that greeted me
when I finally opened up that bag! I put everything in the washing machine with
some Thieves Household Cleaner. I then took two capfuls
of Thieves cleaner, put it in a plastic tub and immersed everything for four
hours. When I took everything out, not only was the locker room smell
completely gone, but everything actually smelled good as well!
