The Harvard University School of Public Health studied 10,000 homes in the US and Canada and found that half of them had mold that resulted in a 50 to 100 % increase in respiratory symptoms.

October 30, 2008, Dr. Close presented a paper at a scientific conference held at Rice University in Houston, Texas. In that presentation, he included a compilation of data for 30 case studies, 10 more cases than were published in the book in 2007. The new data included 34 species of mold, 19 had 100% mold spore removal efficiency, and the average mold spore removal efficiency for all 34 species encountered was 97.27%. In 13 out of 14 cases where Stahcybotrys chartarum mold spores were encountered, there was a 100% spore removal efficiency using Dr. Closes protocol.
In a test conducted at our home, a concrete patio was covered with mold and algae. After spraying an area roughly 5 feet by 5 feet with a cleaner that includes the blend of essential oils, Dr. Close scrubbed the patio with a sponge mop and washed it off with water. We live in Southeast Missouri where we had plenty of rain and then falling leaves and ice, but the effects of just one treatment with the cleaner lasted for over 15 months.

When visible mold is present, you have a mold super colony consisting of mold hyphae, or fruiting structures, capable of producing millions of mold spores for every square inch of visible mold. Our boat was flooded while we were in Canada for 2 weeks and we returned to a terrible outbreak of mold on every interior surface. It was bad enough my wife thought the boat was a total loss.
